Pete Cooke, colourful opal miner and star of the TV show Outback Opal Hunters, transformed a bright-orange former mechanic’s workshop into a whimsical 18-hole mini-golf sculpture park. Gears, pipes, recycled mining relics, and steampunk contraptions create surreal fairways where players putt through madcap mechanical wonders.

Pete’s larger-than-life personality and hands-on artistry shine through every bolt and lever. The course blends Lightning Ridge’s rugged opal heritage with playful creativity, offering visitors an unforgettable, quirky experience in the red dust it’s pure outback magic.
