Self-Guided Tours

Take one or more of our unique Car Door Tours and drive through the old opal fields where some camps still stand over 100 years later. At Lunatic Lookout you can peer into the largest opal mining open cut in NSW (now a historically preserved site), see the layers of sandstone & clay, remnants of old “drives” and learn about the ground geology from signboards posted there.
